Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I apply to your trucking company?

We appreciate your desire to become a part of our team! We have a dedicated staff equipped with the latest technology available to process your application quickly. Once the federally mandated background checks are completed and a conditional offer of employment is extended, you will be scheduled for a physical/drug screen appointment at a clinic that is convenient for you.

Do you hire felons?

Yes, PAM complies with Title VII by utilizing the Title VII review criteria suggested by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). The following items are taken into account when PAM Transport reviews felony convictions:

Does PAM offer layover pay?

Yes, PAM offers various levels of layover pay depending on the situation.

How much freight do PAM drivers have to touch?

Our freight primarily consists of automotive parts, air conditioner units, cosmetics and paper, so the vast majority is “no touch” freight. In addition, much of our freight is drop and hook so drivers spend more time on the road than in the yard, compared to many trucking companies.

Does PAM have a dress code?

No. PAM does not have a uniform requirement or dress code. However, we do ask that drivers maintain a professional appearance.

Does PAM have a passenger program?

Yes, drivers can have passengers who are 18 years old or older. Family members who are 13 years or older are also allowed. There is no insurance fee for a spouse but there is a small charge each month for other passengers.
